WE BELIEVE:

1. In one God in three persons: God the Father, God the Son (The Lord Jesus Christ) and God the Holy Spirit.

a. God the Father, created and sustains us. He is the source of all truth, hope, love and justice.

b. Jesus Christ, God’s Son, became man so that we could see who God is and what God expects of us. He died to pay the penalty for our sins and then rose bodily from the grave to demonstrate His authority over all things.

c. The Holy Spirit is God continuing to be with us. He guides us, convicts us of sin, assures us that we are God’s children and gives us gifts for ministry.

2. The Bible is from God, completely true; it tells us who God is, who we are and how we are to live. The Good News of the Bible addresses the spiritual, physical, emotional and societal needs of mankind.

3. Each person is lovingly created in God’s image and therefore has great value, but all people have been tragically separated from God by sin.

4. Salvation is God’s plan of restoring us to a relationship with Him through the sacrifice of Christ. We accept salvation by confessing our sinfulness and receiving God’s forgiveness, which must result in living in obedient faith.

5. The Church is made up of everyone who serves Jesus as Lord. Within the church, people worship God as well as love and care for each other.

6. The mission of the church is to follow Jesus in pioneering the Kingdom of God. * This includes proclaiming Jesus as Lord and Savior, working for social justice and the relief of human suffering.
